Our trainers have studied puppy development in depth, far beyond the average dog trainer’s education. Our Austin puppy trainers include Mia, a competitive handler in multiple dog sports, and KT, a Starmark Certified and professional movie animal trainer.
Instead of passing along a one-size-fits-all set of information, our trainers hold the expertise to customize the approach for each puppy. This is especially important for crate training and socialization.
Many puppy owners don’t realize that “socialization” does not mean taking your puppy to meet new people and other dogs. Often, the best socialization includes avoiding too much time with others! This is why we do not offer group or play classes, which frequently provide negative socialization experiences for dogs and puppies. Correct socialization looks different for every puppy. That’s why we come to your home, evaluate your dog’s personality, and give you specific instructions to suit them perfectly.

Start building routines when you bring your puppy home. Our first in-home session covers crate training, potty training, and individualized socialization guidance. Early puppyhood is an important period for socialization, but learning and behavior development continue beyond it.
As your puppy approaches 14–16 weeks, we discuss progression into our basic obedience program, based on their readiness and your goals.
