TRAINING SPECIALTY
Kayla is our organization ninja. Formerly, she spent 8 years managing a large veterinary hospital in Syracuse, NY where she had a 70-person staff of veterinarians, trainers, and Behaviorists. There she learned not only in depth veterinary and behavioral terminology and concepts, but also the best practices for organizing a diverse team.
Kayla Liddington now applies her skills at Traction by being the main point of contact for pet parents in training with us. She ensures that our training and boarding programs flow smoothly, from the initial phone consultation with our Head Trainer to the enrollment process, to scheduling during a program and then feedback and follow-up over a period of years after each program.

kayla liddington’s role at traction
Although she isn’t a dog trainer, Kayla Liddington deeply understands the world of dog training and is here to guide you every step of the way. To start, your training journey begins with a free phone consultation with our Head Trainer, Mara, where you’ll discuss your dog’s behavior and your goals in detail. From there, Mara creates a customized training plan and recommends the best program for your dog.
After the consultation, Kayla steps in to answer any lingering questions and assist with scheduling your program. At this stage, she will guide you through the enrollment process, which includes setting up your dog’s profile in our online portal, signing the training agreement, and confirming the dates and times of your sessions. To make everything seamless, Kayla ensures you have all the necessary resources conveniently available online.
Throughout your program, Kayla Liddington checks in regularly to offer logistical support and ensure you’re satisfied with your dog’s progress. She communicates any adjustments that could enhance your experience and works closely with Mara to keep everything on track.
As your program wraps up, Kayla reaches out for a feedback conversation about your experience. This feedback, along with regular meetings between Kayla and Mara, helps us continually refine our training methods. Thanks to this process, we’ve earned a solid 5-star rating on all platforms, backed by over 150 Google reviews.
Even after your program ends, Kayla Liddington keeps in touch to ensure the training remains effective. You’ll hear from us occasionally, even years later, to check in on your dog’s progress.
At Traction, we take pride in our personal approach. As a small, dedicated team, we form lasting connections with our clients and their dogs, often sharing updates and celebrating their progress over the years. We can’t wait to welcome you into our community!
