Cobra was bred in Colorado for personal protection, and began training with Traction Dog Training Club trainer Jeremy Sebree in early puppyhood. She has a solid prey and defensive drive, and was easily advanced into personal protection scenarios as a young dog. Although she has done very well in sports, her bite work foundation was focused on civil work and realistic scenario-based training for true personal protection instead of bite sports.
Cobra grew up in a large home as a guard dog with two other female Dutch Shepherds. She is fully house trained, potty trained, and crate trained. She does not chew and can stay in the home or a vehicle without issue.

As Cobra matured into an adult, she no longer got along with the other intact female dogs in the home. She is not aggressive towards other dogs in public, but should not live freely in the same house with other females. This is common for a Dutch Shepherd.
As some last minute fun, Cobra entered a PSA-K9 trial in February 2025 and earned her PDC (Protection Dog Certificate) on her first try, before even turning 2 years old! This is an enormous accomplishment, as many dogs spend months training for the PDC and still require multiple tries as an older dog. The PDC involves an obedience test and a carjacking, attack on handler, and “courage test” scenario.
Cobra travels well and is ready to work in any environment. Her work is consistent across new and different decoys. This, along with her lack of bad habits in the home and vehicle, make her the ideal personal protection dog for a single person or a family. As a bonus, she is friendly with people but remains neutral to strangers and other dogs unless told otherwise. She can easily accompany you to restaurants, outings, and more and will not pay attention to other people there. This makes her an excellent trained protection dog for sale.
