Schedule a free phone consultation to discuss your dog, your goals, and the level of training support you need. We’ll help you choose a suitable trainer and program in Texas or Colorado, including Study Abroad board and train and private in-home training.
For board and train, the call covers your dog’s behavior, training goals, timing, and travel needs. An in-person evaluation is scheduled before booking to determine suitability and written goals.

what makes us different?
caliber of dog trainers.
Traction’s team brings experience in challenging behavior cases, advanced obedience, and sport dog training. Meet Mara Soo, KT Tong, and Tina Chavez to review their backgrounds and experience.
Your consultation helps match your dog’s needs with the appropriate trainer and program. Read client reviews and compare program prices before booking.
UNIQUE TRAINING STRUCTURES.
Choose the level of trainer support that fits your goals and time for practice. Tutoring combines trainer-led introductions with owner teaching sessions and homework. Homeschool adds frequent trainer-led practice in your home and coaching for the household.
Study Abroad is an intensive stay in a professional trainer’s home with individualized written goals and owner coaching. In Austin, visits usually take place twice a week during the stay. Boulder clients have a longer go-home session at the end. Varsity supports ongoing practice and maintenance.
In-home programs serve Austin and Boulder. Denver offers board and train. Your head trainer will discuss the format and service area before matching you with a trainer.
PROFESSIONALISM.
Not everyone views dog training as a career as legitimate as being a lawyer, but we do. Our trainers each spent approximately a decade honing their skill sets and receiving ongoing education. The difference shows in the way we communicate, plan, and even the way we dress. It will be apparent that you’re in the hands of an expert, not a casual dog training hobbyist. When you’re a professional yourself, it makes all the difference.
